'Make We Joy' at Connecticut College Dec. 6

NEW LONDON, Conn. - Connecticut College presents "Make We Joy," a community celebration of the winter solstice featuring dance, drama and a performance by the Saint Nicholas Songsters, Dec. 6 at 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. in Harkness Chapel. "Make We Joy," a local holiday favorite since 1981, encourages the audience to celebrate light and hope.

"It is a very unique festival that brings community members, students, staff and faculty together," Derron Wood '88, who has directed the production for 19 years, said. "People from all over New England come to the performance to kick off of their holiday season."

There is no cost to attend the performance; however, donations will be accepted at the door. The public is encouraged to arrive early, as there is no assigned seating, and the chapel's seating is limited.
